LeRoy C. Dohm, 89, of Temperance, MI, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Hickory Ridge of Temperance. Born, November 28, 1924 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Orville and Bernice (DeLand) Dohm. A 1942 graduate of the former Lambertville High School, he married Dorothy Seeman on August 23, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 2, 2000. LeRoy was a lifelong farmer, retiring in 1984. He was a member of LaSalle Zion United Methodist Church, where he had taught Sunday school and was active in the Men’s Group. He was also a member of the Bedford Senior Center and was an avid Detroit Tiger’s fan.
He is survived by his loving children, Susan (Dan) Warren of Ida, MI, Charles Dohm of Lambertville, MI, and James (Linda) Dohm of Alpena, MI. Sister, Joyce Bloomheart of Toledo, OH. 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lester Dohm.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday, May 4, 2014, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Zion United Methodist Church, 1607 Yargerville Road, La Salle, MI 48145, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Reverend Joel Walther, officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
